Job Purpose To be accountable for all aspects of testing IT solutions and services for the F1 project and ensuring that objectives and requirements have been correctly addressed and tested to predefined levels to ensure the project is fit for purpose and live deployment. The programme test manager will be responsible for Defining the Overall F1 test strategy (Integration, functional, UAT, Non-functional), managing 3rd party test resource supplier(on shore/off shore mix), reporting to senior management and stakeholders, managing a team of Test managers and test leads, ensuring best practices are applied and followed and the delivery of a robust testing solution to meet strict timelines and budget. Responsibilities To deliver a Testing solution to the F1 programme of work within agreed timescales and to budget Define overall F1 programme test strategy and deliver Testing solution for F1 to budget and timescales Define test environment requirements for each stage of testing. Ensure it is available at the required times Define formal acceptance procedures and Oversee the acceptance test execution, review and approve reports and certificates. Ensure deviations are identified and resolved Define and implement testing metrics and produce KPI reports for senior management and business stakeholders, including the Senior Test practice manager Establish/monitor use of standard test methodology with standard templates for all testing deliverables QA all test related deliverables for the F1 programme Manage team of Test managers to ensure delivery of F1 testing Manage 3rd party off-shore/on-shore test resource supplier across different timezones Manage All testing phases to include Integration, Functional, UAT and Non-functional testing Create suitable strategy for use of testing tools Constantly monitor Testing to ensure streamlined efficient use of resource and implement change where needed Manage release testing function of major and minor upgrades Requirements Qualification & Education: Degree level education with acquired specialization in Test Manager desirable Experience: At least 15 years in IT – preferably Testing 5 years of Programme Test management experience – preferably on large IT programmes of work At least 5 years experience of Test management – preferably complex projects Extensive airline experience Managing large off shore testing teams Training & Knowledge: Formal training/qualification in test management Prince Practitioner Experience of selecting and implementing Test Management tools/service providers Proven ability to adapt to working overseas in a multi-cultural environment Knowledge of Airline specific applications such as Sabre GDS, DCS etc Experience of managing large complex programmes of testing Proven ability to inspire teams to pay close attention to detail during testing Deep knowledge of all stages and types of testing (functional, security, performance, recovery, load.stress).
