What will I do as HR Business Partner – Supply Chain ?

You will work with the Head of HR Operations and the Brewery Manager in the development of the business area’s HR plan ensuring it is consistent with the HEINEKEN & Group HR framework.

You will be responsible for driving the implementation of the business area’s HR plan, and provide a development-led (people and organisation) HR service to the Tadcaster brewery ensuring central alignment with company strategy, while providing an excellent service to suit the needs of the brewery.

You will Support the HR agenda and live up to the HEINEKEN company values and put the HEINEKEN employer brand at the heart of all decision making and be a fully participative member of the business area team by successfully mixing pragmatic commercial insight and HR professionalism.

As HR Business Partner – Supply Chain, what skills and qualifications will I need?

  • Degree qualified or equivalent.
  • Masters Qualification desirable.
  • CIPD desirable.
  • Well developed commercial acumen and business skills.
  • Informal coaching skills.
  • Strong process / behavioural facilitation skills.
  • Proven Employee relations experience.
  • Experience of working in an FMCG/Manufacturing environment.
  • Must have demonstrable experience with trade unions at a site level.

As HR Business Partner – Supply Chain, what kind of responsibilities will I have?

  • To be an internal HR ambassador that successfully applies business facilitation and problem-solving techniques to real HR and business issues within the business area.
  • Own the employee relations agenda at the brewery and develop in line with the HEINEKEN people agenda.
  • Manage the Trade Union relationship at site level.
  • Lead the site Training & Education pillar as part of the TPM philosophy and ways of working.
  • Create and deliver an annual people activity plan for the business area.
  • Develop and maintain sufficient people skills and experience within the business area for both present and future business needs.
  • Informally coach / work constructively with managers on people issues and their behaviours.
  • Ensure that the organisational structure within the business area supports HEINEKEN design principles and minimises the number of layers to the Brewery Manager.
  • Support recruitment for ‘stepping stone’ roles based on potential and performance.
  • Support line managers in understanding and implementing the HEINEKEN reward strategy.
  • Facilitate delivery of core HR enablers to a high and consistent level e.g. STAR Team Review, Climate Survey, Salary Review and Succession Planning.
  • Ensure the business area “stays legal” by complying with the letter and spirit of local employment law.
  • Successfully embed HR initiatives by pro-actively managing their implementation.
