Samsung Electronics is focusing not only on bringing industry-leading mobile and CE devices, but also on creating innovative consumer content services. As a service planning Manager, this individual will lead the innovation of Samsung’s next generation content services in both B2B and B2C offerings for the US market. The service planning manager will analyze digital consumer lifestyle related to mobile and online content as well as over-the-top digital home entertainment services and develop consumer-driven, market-relevant new service concept that can help grow Samsung’s reach into consumers’ daily life. This individual will be an expert in all phases of service development from initial concept design, business modeling and competitive analysis, service product development, commercialization, and product roadmap maintenance. | |

Duties & Resp. | | | • Identify new service/product opportunities and enhancement of existing Samsung content services
• Analyze and evaluate customer needs, market trends and competitive landscape to formulate market-driven consumer insights
• Define service strategy, requirements, and use cases, and roadmap for the new and existing Samsung content services
• Translate product feature requirements into user scenarios and flows
• Collaborate with internal and external innovation teams to develop market-driven service concepts with compelling consumer value propositions
• Create business plan/case for the new service offering and work with all necessary internal and external organizations to gain cross-company support
• Lead the evaluation/selection of 3rd-party partners through industry knowledge and research to assist in the implementation of the new service offerings.
• Work closely with product managers and UX/UI managers to provide optimal service experiences and to innovate and differentiate the service offerings to stay ahead of the competition
• Educate the Samsung organization in the business of content and media | |

| Background /
Experience | | | • 4-6 years of experience with mobile or web-based company in a service planning or product management role.
• 3-4 years of experience with services development.
• Deep understanding of the dynamics of the US online content market
• Extensive experiences in developing and commercializing consumer-facing mobile and/or online content services
• Prior experience in working for leading online consumer service company a plus
• Prior experience and mature understanding of the software product development process.
• Broad relationships in the content and media community.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or technology field
• Master’s Degree in business or a field of technology from an accredited college or university preferred.
