For this challenging role in the welding industry, we are now looking for an Application Specialist for Welding Products, and the location for this position is in Sandviken, Sweden.
Job Summary
As an Application Specialist for Welding Products you assist the Global Product Manager with product development by delivering technical input and welding knowledge. You analyze the performance of Sandvik’s welding products in specific applications and identify technical issues in order to minimize associated commercial risks. You interact with customers and collate large amounts of technical information, especially with respect to enquiry and order processes for major global contracts. Supporting the sales team, giving technical service to specific industries and being an active member of our welding engineers’ team are some of your responsibilities, as is technically supporting our customers from enquiry to installation. You represent our company in international technical organizations and associations and are also responsible for preparation and delivery of technical papers, seminars and presentations to promote our welding products.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with an International Welding Engineer (IWE/EWE) Diploma or equivalent knowledge from previous work within welding engineering. You have solid experience from working as an engineer and specific knowledge of welding techniques, ideally in a nuclear industry. As we interact on the global stage, you have excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, while skills in Swedish are beneficial.
