WSPA Communications Manager, disaster management

WSPA has 15 offices across the world, with campaigns that have impact at global, regional and national levels. With consultative status at the United Nations, WSPA brings together people and organisations throughout the world to challenge and address the most pressing issues facing animals in the 21st century, connecting animal welfare with international development, delivering sustainable solutions for animals.
As part of a high-impact global strategy, including an overhaul of the WSPA brand, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of WSPA’s disaster management communications across the entire Asia Pacific region and generate recognition of WSPA’s status as the world expert in helping animals in disaster. You will be deployed with the WSPA Disaster Response team, issuing all disaster communications from the scene and providing WSPA offices worldwide with the information they need to communicate to key stakeholders.
You are a Communications Manager with experience working in the Asia Pacific region. You have gained experience in the animal welfare sector or related disciplines such as international development, environmental, conservation, human rights, the Union movement or from within the UN family or diplomatic corp. Your experience in brand development, reputation management, media relations and digital communications is second to none.
