Role Purpose:
This Engagement Manager will support sales processes for Services projects in Western Europe related to Enterprise Search (FAST). The role is also expected to conduct business consulting projects related to Enterprise Search for customers in Western Europe.
Team/Department Mission:
The role is part of the Western Europe FAST Team, whose mission is to provide deep business and technical expertise to the Microsoft subsidiaries in Western Europe and their customers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Will report to the Manager of the Western Europe FAST Team.
Key Success Criteria:
- Support sales of Services projects in the enterprise search space
- Share expert knowledge of Enterprise Search in Western Europe
- Successfully deliver consulting projects related to Enterprise Search.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
1) Essential Experience
- First and foremost, candidate must have a very deep understanding of how enterprise search solutions can provide business value for organizations, both as an internal tool and used in customer-facing applications
- Proven business consulting experience and/or sale of consulting/services
2) Technical/Functional Skills
- Deep functional knowledge of Microsoft FAST Search technology
- Experience from customer-centered design methodology
3) Personal Attributes/Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent listening skills
- Structured, with analytical approach
- Skilled at sharing ideas and enhancing ideas through collaboration with others
- Ability to communicate effectively with business, technical and end-user stakeholders
- Ability to handle multiple engagements in parallel
- Flexible
- Goal-driven
- Ability to building strong personal relationships.
4) Qualifications
MBA/MSc or equivalent
Special Requirements/Additional Information e.g. Language Skills
- Role will require frequent travel to the countries in Western Europe and occasionally outside this area.
