Washington, DC Deputy Project Director

We seek qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Project Director based in Washington, DC.
Position Description:
The Deputy Project Director will manage the day-to-day activities of NCCOR to include: overseeing the project team; tracking all project tasks, activities, and timelines; and working directly with the client. The Deputy Project Director will also lead the coordination, communication, and evaluation efforts of NCCOR, as well as support the Project Director with strategic planning. S/he will provide significant project management, technical leadership and support.
Minimum Requirements:
Masters in one of the following or related fields: Behavior Change Communications or Communications or Project Management or Public Affairs or Social Marketing with 10 year(s) of relevant experience, or equivalent education/experience required.
Ten years of relevant program experience required.

Experience leading partnerships and collaboratives, combined with an understanding of obesity research.

Strongleadership and managerial experience.

Knowledge of marketing, public relations, advertising, promotion and other marketing communications methods.

A clear understanding of social marketing principles is preferred.

Knowledge and application of public health research approaches and techniques.
