Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent required. Industry applicable registration preferred (registered Architect, P.E., Interior Designer, PMP, etc.). 10 Years in a leadership role in a fast paced ever-changing corporate environment. 5 years Master Space Planning for office and/or technical space where long term real estate decisions are based on the plan. Experience with Broadcast design and construction a plus. Experience with HVAC and MEP equipment is a plus.

Duties: The Vice President, Global Construction Management leads a group of Project Managers, Interior Managers, and Engineers to implement the design and construction of on-going real estate renovation projects for office, studio, data center and broadcast technology space as required by the ever-changing business needs of all of the entities that comprise Turner Broadcasting System. The typical annual volume handled by the department is approximately 200 construction projects, 300 interiors projects and 1,000 work orders totaling $30-40M. Key Responsibilities: Manage the Project Management and Interior Management Departments. These departments are responsible for construction of office space, studio space, data centers, broadcast technical areas and interior build-out space. Staff includes 1 Project Management Director with 6 Senior Project Managers, 1 Interiors Director with 9 Interior Designers, and 1 Engineering Senior Director and 1 Engineering Director with 2 Engineering Managers. Partners with senior management to create short term and long term project plans and budgets. Ensures the creation and implementation of strategic space guidelines and/or standards for the relevant business unit as appropriate. This requires developing excellent working relationships such that global space planning, space acquisition, and construction projects support company initiatives effectively. Leads an effective and efficient organization, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and on budget, clients receive a consistent quality of service, and standard project processes are followed. Creates and implements proper training and career development for all staff. Ensures energy efficiency and sustainable design concepts are incorporated in every phase of a project. Represents Turner Broadcasting in the community, developing and maintaining relationships with the Department of Buildings and the relevant local Neighborhood Planning Units, etc. Also, responsible for developing relationships with all vendors, including contractors, architects, engineers, furniture manufacturers and other construction and design-related consultants. Works with vendors to ensure that Turner Broadcasting receives the best possible pricing, including volumes discounts, most favored nations pricing, etc. Coordinates with the Turner and Time Warner procurement departments to hire vendors when appropriate, leveraging their expertise with requests for information and requests for proposals. Provides leadership in establishing new processes and procedures that are best in class for the media industry, reporting to and partnering with the Time Warner Real Estate & Facilities Shared Services.
