To estimate the public health impact of scaling-up access to diagnostic technologies for HIV, malaria and tuberculosis

Consultancy for RFP 5153, To estimate the public health impact of scaling-up access to diagnostic technologies for HIV, malaria and tuberculosis

UNITAID is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to produce estimates on the public health impact of scaling-up access to diagnostic technologies for HIV, malaria and tuberculosis.

The objective of the project is to provide needed analyses of the potential public health impact of interventions for UNITAID-identified niches in diagnostics for TB and malaria and in POC diagnostics for HIV. This is in order to inform UNITAID prioritization amongst funding options. The analysis will be in a widely accepted format, namely disability adjusted life years (DALYs) and years of life gained/saved, to enable comparison across niches.
