We develop relationships with a range of organizations, from content providers to publishers, and find ways for them to reach their audiences and manage their digital businesses. We find great content for our products, and we also work with partner sites to syndicate our own Google products. From negotiating agreements to solving technical problems for partners, we're in pursuit of gathering the world's information.

The role: Strategic Partner Development Manager, Mobile Advertising

Google's line of products and services to clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for striking and negotiating deals with Google's partners. Armed with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line, building pipeline, negotiating deals and helping partners build sales and account management functions. You also manage revenue creation and growth with our partners as part of our next generation of product launches. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players help shape great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

The role of the Strategic Partnership Development Manager will be to drive mobile partner acquisition across the Middle East, cross-sell desktop and other services, and provide the account management skills, analytical ability, and business judgment to support strategic and tactical initiatives across key existing and prospective Publishers in the region across mobile and other platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive mobile publisher acquisition in the Middle Eastern region, both through deals with new partners and through up-selling of mobile publisher services to existing partners, as well as cross-selling desktop services to mobile partners.
  • Serve as primary owner of assigned key mobile display publisher accounts, managing mid-level and tactical relationships with larger partners and overall relationship with smaller managed publishers.
  • Build deep knowledge of competition, industry, and trends in the region (and compared to other regions) and leverage strong analytical skills to perform research to identify, qualify, and prioritise new partnership opportunities.
  • Understand product at a highly proficient level. Perform implementation reviews, suggest improvements in existing implementations, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges using appropriate escalation.
  • Field incoming requests for information, qualify leads, and utilize communication and influencing abilities to describe benefits to prospective partners. Support the broader Strategic Partner Development teams in the creation of pitches as they negotiate larger deals, and ensure close coordination with the mobile advertising sales and operations teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience).
  • Technology/online industry experience, knowledgeable about consumer mobile products, the Internet, online products, customers, online advertising technologies and strategies, and market dynamics.
  • Business development experience negotiating complex media or Internet deals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience of working in the Middle East, along with relevant contacts in the region
  • Excellent deal-making and partner communication skills as well as partner/account management experience
  • Advanced analytical, communication and presentation skills, and an understanding of technical, financial and contractual issues in the digital advertising market
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic
