Would you like to work in the group that designs and builds Windows? Are you interested in having an audience that is 90 percent of all people that use computers?
The Windows design group is looking for a talented and passionate Art Director (we formally call you a Content Publishing Lead) to lead a team creating marketing and content executions for Windows that are high impact, brand-building and innovative. Your team will focus on the Windows online presence via interactive marketing campaigns and educational content using the latest technologies. You will also contribute direction to brand and visual identity strategy work, printed materials, and from time to time, environmental design.
Our Content Publishing Lead works alongside other design and research leads in Windows and reports directly to the Senior Design Manager. You are responsible for developing dynamic and impactful creative approaches with your team and partner teams; initiating original design concepts as well as overseeing project design all the way through execution. You are also responsible for presenting work to executive level stakeholders across Windows as well as representing the Windows visual design process and integrity at all stages of an engagement.
The Content Publishing Lead requires the ability to manage, mentor, inspire and direct the efforts of their team in a highly collaborative environment. You will be a charismatic, smart and committed leader able to scope and prioritize projects accurately and efficiently and plan your executions to meet business goals.
The Content Publishing Lead candidate qualifications:
10+ years of digital experience in design and art direction, creating large scale websites, applications, products, photography art direction
A strong understanding of grid systems and an impeccable sense of typography and graphic design
A strong working knowledge of content publishing and web user interface standards, principles, and guidelines.
At least 2+ years as an art director
A conceptual thinker that can oversee their vision from concept to execution
A natural storyteller with stellar communication and presentation skills
A creative who's a geek at heart, lives for emerging technologies and new media
Their passion is bigger than their ego, a team player
