This exciting role within the Business Intelligence and Opportunities (BIO) Department of Abcam provides a unique opportunity for a successful candidate to develop their commercial project management experience within a fast-paced and growing scientific company.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will play an essential role in; providing project management resource to Abcam and the BIO team, developing innovation and business improvement through managing New Opportunities Projects and other initiatives, support M&A by creating and executing integration plans along will delivering significant profit to Abcam!

The successful candidate will have a degree (at least a 2.1 or equivalent) ideally in Maths, Science or engineering (an MSc (or equivalent) within a similar discipline would also be advantageous). You will also have 3-5 years demonstrable project management experience in a commercial environment and this will include managing strategically important projects. You will also need proven experience of using analytical methods to influence/create business strategy. You will have the ability to rapidly understand how the business works at a detailed level, along with infectious enthusiasm and ability to be both resourceful and creative when problem solving. It is essential that you have strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) as you will need to be able to build strong relationships at all levels across the company. You will also need to be willing to learn and to share your knowledge with others.
