Senior Manager, Mobile Services Ecosystem Product Development Manager

The Sr. Manager, Mobile Services has the responsibility to own current and future roadmap development of Samsung’s next generation open, application runtime environment and UI / UX paradigm in the US market. A passion for owning the next, best in industry, mobile user experience, with an acknowledgment that 3rd party development is critical will position this individual to succeed in this role. This individual will be an expert in all phases of service development from initial concept design, business modeling and analysis, development, implementation, launch, and product roadmap maintenance. Familiarity with mobile content, mobile technologies and service platforms is critical as is prior expertise in building and launching consumer oriented services with or at a mobile software or solutions company. ll out information in English.

Common Essential Duties & Resp. • Ideation: Working in a highly creative team where innovation is rewarded with opportunities to implement. • Business case development: Must be able to fully own the overall success to the business, individual will build the structure of the case and locate and insert all relevant inputs. • Internal Sell in: Work with all necessary organizations and resources to get cross company support. • Partner Selection: Through existing knowledge and industry research, individual will be able to select the best partner to assist in the implementation of services. Partners may be selected from both internal and external resources. • Business & Contract development: Working through tight coordination with legal resources to shepherd the contract development from preliminary term sheets through signature and future addendum. • Project / Program Management: Keep projects on schedule and within budget. • Operational planning and execution: Anticipate operational challenges and plan resources accordingly • Performance tracking and roadmap adjustment: Understand, execute and respond to various metrics collection platforms for each service. • Coordinate regularly with HQ Business and R&D Resources • Developer Engagement: Own the roadmap of Toolsets and Platforms presented to mobile developer community.

Background / Experience • 5-8 years of experience with mobile or web-based company in a product marketing or product development role. • 3-4 years of experience with services development. • Understanding of the dynamics of the US mobile market and an appreciation for the complexity in the value chain and the role of the service providers. • Prior experience with leading RFI and RFP processes for outsourcing and development activities. • Prior experience and mature understanding of the product development process. • Broad relationships in the mobile application development community • Deep engagement on UX / UI testing of mobile applications • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or technology field with Master’s Degree in business or a field of technology from an accredited college or university preferred.

Necessary Skills / Attributes • Very strong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal skills. • Ability to influence content partners to support and endorse Samsung services strategy. • Mature understanding of building, operating, and launching services in the US market. • PowerPoint whiz. • Capable of managing several high profile programs and project activities to completion. • Comfortable with presenting in front of customers and business executives. • Works very collaboratively across global teams. • Highly motivated and able to think proactively. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to facilitate meetings and develop relationships with external and internal departments. • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.
