Senior Civil Engineers - Urban Infrastructure & Land Development

Cardno’s office in Canberra is a leading civil engineering consultancy in the region with 35 staff and a reputation built up over 25 years in the areas of Civil Infrastructure and Transportation; Urban Development; Sporting Facilities; and Building Services. We are part of the Cardno Group, with around 4000 staff world-wide.

With an impressive list of projects in hand we have two positions available for Senior Engineers with 10 years experience in civil infrastructure. Your engineering experience may include roads and pavements, bridges and structures, stormwater drainage and WSUD, water and waste water, etc.

The successful applicants will have the following skills and attributes:

• A degree in Civil Engineering (Chartered or progressing to Chartered status)
• At least 10 years experience in urban infrastructure or land development
• The ability to lead & manage multi-discipline design teams
• Sound understanding of design standards & software packages
• Familiar with 12d and AutoCAD
• Excellent client/stakeholder management
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Proposals and tender preparation

Your role will include but not be limited to:

• Manage and lead a team of designers, drafters and subconsultants
• Design and Project Management
• Quality assurance and compliance
• Client liaison and business development
