publication of PAF Governance Report: “Development Aid for Fisheries in Africa

The NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency (NEPAD Agency) wishes to announce vacancies for various positions at its office in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa and its Regional Missions at various duty stations.

The NEPAD Agency kindly requests all applicants from African Union Member States to send their applications and detailed CVs in accordance with the format indicated.

Applications should be forwarded electronically in Word format, utilising Arial font 11.5: to hr@nepad.org and they should be marked for the attention of:

Applications should also include:

  • A motivation letter and comprehensive curriculum vitae not exceeding five pages.
  • Three referees with good knowledge of the candidate’s work, furnishing full contact details, telephone, fax and e-mail addresses.

The deadline for receiving applications is as indicated on the vacancy listings.

ToRs) for the publication of PAF Governance Report: “Development Aid for Fisheries in Africa: Setting out Key Principles”

International Partnership for African Fisheries Governance & Trade (PAF) is one of the Flagship programmes of the NEPAD Agency. This programme aims to support an emerging political cadre in defining processes that will strengthen Africa’s capacity to consider, determine and implement responsive reforms in fisheries governance and trade. Reforms are needed not only to ensure these benefits are sustained, but also to generate and sustain wealth from fisheries.

PAF requires the services of a publishing company to publish the report entitled “Development Aid for Fisheries in Africa: Setting out Key Principles”.

The publisher will technically report to Dr. Sloans Chimatiro, Senior Fisheries Officer of the NEPAD Agency, while contractual and financial issues will be handled b the NEPAD Agency’s Tender Board and other relevant institutions within the NEPAD Agency.

The deadline for submissions is 4pm on 5th February 2012.

Scope of work

The work will entail:

a) Reviewing the report, to ensure that it reads well and makes sense for both people who are acquainted with Political Economy of Fisheries and those who may wish to know more about fisheries in Africa;

b) Design and format the manual script into an attractive (eye-catching) report; and

c) Source and allocate an ISBN for the report and ensure that it can be internationally acceptable and accessible.

The deadline for submissions is 4pm on 5th February 2012.
