Responsibilities:

The Applied Well Technology Team is responsible for providing technical assistance to deliver the top projects in Shell's portfolio in the top quartile. The team is comprised of petroleum engineers with deep technical skills in artificial lift, perforating, stimulation, completions, and cement.
As a team member the preferred candidate may be called on to:

  • Assist in tendering all facets of the design and operations specifically relating to drilling fluids
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on drilling fluids
  • Work with third party service providers to coordinate operations and verify capability
  • Identify, develop,and source the drilling fluid technologies required to meet the challenges of the upcoming portfolio


Requirements:
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited University or significant industry experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a drilling fluids specialist
  • Ability and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%
  • Demonstrated lab experience within drilling fluids
  • Demonstrated experience working on diverse, cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders demands and issues on a Global scale
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
