Durham University - Teikyo University of Japan in Durham (TUID)

The Teikyo University of Japan in Durham has a vacancy for a Principal and General Manager owing to the pending retirement of the current incumbent.

TUID undertakes up to one year undergraduate Study Abroad Course Programmes proposed and designated by the Teikyo University main campus in Tokyo.

The post entails the management of staff (academic/support) and student undergraduates, lecturing the undergraduates and the overall administration of TUID. The main remit is academic with a commercial brief.

Applicants must be Japanese speakers (to native fluency) and fluency in English is also critical for this senior residential position. The appointment is at board level and you will be required to report to the UK Management Board and Senior Management in Tokyo.

The successful applicant will possess proven leadership skills, be educated to degree level and have previous lectureship and senior management experience. A competitive salary will be offered.
