Planning & MRP Manager United Kingdom

Aero Engine Controls (AEC) is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Goodrich Corporation to provide full authority digital electronic control systems for Rolls-Royce aero gas turbine engines. There are offices on three sites in the United Kingdom. AEC provides electronics, embedded software, fuel pumps, fuel metering valves, and fuel driven actuators to Rolls-Royce. Greater than 95% of AEC business is with Rolls-Royce.
Main duties of the Planning & MRP Manager include:
� Creation of a best practice strategy for planning and logistics, that is consistent with the business objectives (e.g. Value Streams), and an associated implementation plan.
� Oversee and improve the Manufacturing planning process.
Including demand stability/smoothing, capacity modelling, the S&OP process
� Provide management data on the execution of the plan.
� Develop, implement, report and control key MRP system parameters to ensure system "health" and real time data validity
� Manage the Departmental team and the associated policy deployment targets/metrics
� Ensure processes are documented and controlled.
� Implement standardised, system driven, capacity tools
� Manage and control the inventory review and reduction process.
� Standardise the S&OP process (to include NPI) and expand its role to a core business process.
� Work closely and build relationships with the Operations teams ( Manufacturing ,ME's, Supply chain etc..)
� Implement team improvements in line with the site transformation strategy.
� Develop team capabilities by training and personal or professional development
� Provide reference guidance, training and knowledge of the MRP/ERP system to the wider organisation and stakeholders.
