Petroleum Technologist - Cement

Responsibilities:
  • Provide cement support for over 70 global projects within the Shell organization
  • Support the cementing operations of the business from the tendering stage to on-location execution
  • Identify, develop and source new technologies to meet the challenges of day to day operations
  • Maintain best practice policies and keep abreast of changes to policies and procedures within the industry
  • Work cooperatively and proactively with stakeholders
  • Research new and better ways of operating and be open to receiving feedback about recommendations and proposals


Requirements:
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field of study
  • Must be open to domestic and international travel (up to 35%) both inland and offshore
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the cementing industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of drilling and completions and the issues and interfaces that are associated with them
  • Demonstrated success in job design, writing procedures and carrying the project through the execution phase
  • Knowledge of HSSE requirements
  • Professional engineering accreditation preferred
