Part-Time Graphic Designer - International Bowling Campus (Arlington, TX)

The International Bowling Campus ("IBC") is the home to multiple companies that have come together to grow the sport of bowling. Those companies include the United States Bowling Congress, Bowling Proprietors' Association of America, and the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame.

The Graphic Designer will primarily be responsible for designing the graphics for our youth products. This person will conceptualize and create designs and layout for USBC and IBC publications and marketing materials. Produce a wide range of graphic design projects from concept through finished product, including reports, magazines, newsletters, advertising, brochures, marketing collateral, interactive content and special information pieces.

This is a part-time position and estimated for 20-24 hours per week. The preferred hours are 8:00 – 12:00 Monday – Friday. Hours can be flexible for the right candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Utilize computer equipment and supplies to layout and design various PR/Communications graphics materials as directed.
• Assist in development of each project from creation (concept development), to implementation (design and production).
• Advise USBC/IBC staff on all phases of promotional material development, including concept creation, budget/cost containment and finding solutions for communicating complex issues
• Coordinate the production aspect of all creative services projects as needed.
• Assist as “gate keeper” for quality control relating to creative services including monitoring corporate identity standards and logo usage.

Qualifications
• Two-Year Associate’s Degree in Graphic design, advertising, art direction or related field required.
• 1-3 years of graphic design experience required.
• Intermediate proficiency with Adobe CS5 Mac-based software, Familiarity with other MS Office products (eg. Word, Excel, etc.) required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills preferred.
• Excellent time management, project management, and organizational skills, as well as ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously preferred.
• Ability to do extensive typing/computer work required.
