Nigerian Breweries was established in 1946 following a joint venture partnership agreement between Heineken and United Africa Company (then a division of Unilever UK). The first bottle of Star larger beer (Nigeria’s 1st local beer) was produced in our Lagos Brewery in June 1949. Today we have four other breweries in Aba (East), Kaduna (North), Ibadan (West) and Enugu (East - Ama, the largest and most modern Brewery in Africa).

Nigerian Breweries Plc is an award winning company, with over 2,100 employees and a rich portfolio of high quality brands, such as: Star, Gulder, Maltina, Legend Extra stout, Amstel, Heineken Gulder Max and Fayrouz soft drink.
