Network Security Analyst (Managed Security Services)

Location: EDINBURGH
Clearance: Candidates will be expected to pass UK security clearance checks and be prepared to undergo credit history checks

Position Summary:
Dell SecureWorks are actively recruiting for a Security Analyst to join their central Edinburgh office. This client-facing position involves providing the incident response and platform management capability that underpins the range of managed security services that we deliver to our customers.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

· Respond to inbound phone and email requests for technical assistance with Dell SecureWorks services
· Providing regular, professional, accurate and timely communications to our customers
· Configuration, updating and troubleshooting of customer devices and managed service platforms
· Produce and update operational procedures including logical/physical designs
· Involvement in projects when required
· Mentoring less experienced staff
· After a period of familiarisation, participation in the out-of-hours on-call rota

Required skills & experience:

· Working in an operational environment to meet customer service level agreements
· Strong TCP/IP
· Understanding of information security fundamentals, including vulnerabilities and attack vectors
· Ability to maintain logical focus while performing in depth analysis and troubleshooting
· Configuration and troubleshooting on Cisco switches and routers
· Configuration and troubleshooting on Cisco ASA firewall (ACLs, NAT, routing, VPN, IDS/IPS)
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computing, Networking or related field
