Novo Nordisk Device Research and Development is seeking a mechanical engineer within mechanical design of medical devices.

We are located in Hillerød, Denmark, and responsible for Novo Nordisk development of medical delivery systems. We work in multidisciplinary project teams in highly integrated product development projects, and are involved in all development phases. Our primary competences are within innovation, user interfaces and development of products for large scale production. We have a strong tradition for generating competitive inventions using state-of-the-art tools for creativity, rapid prototyping, advanced simulations and similar techniques.


Challenges
As part of a team of competent and dynamic developers you will be responsible for ideation, specification, design and testing of new medical devices.

You will be involved in multidisciplinary projects from the early concept phases to design, testing, implementation, and launch to the market. Throughout all project phases, you will have contact to internal as well as external partners.

Qualifications

You hold a degree as mechanical engineer or similar, have a solid theoretical understanding and learn new things quickly. 3-5 years of relevant experience from innovation and product development is preferred


Profound knowledge of mechanism design is mandatory. Beside that we expect that you have knowledge of at least one of the following areas

Design of medical devices i.e. conceptualization, 3D CAD, structural analysis, materials knowledge, integration of electronics and process development, DFM and DFA.

Prototyping and testing i.e. design of prototypes and test jigs, knowledge of test methods and data analysis.

Specification and tolerance analysis i.e. product specification, GPS, tolerance analysis and requirement management.

Good communication and documentation skills – in English – are essential. You pay high attention to details and works well alone as well as in cooperation with other people. On a personal level, you are an open-minded, self-motivated and dedicated team player who focuses on quality and results.
