Mbabane Technical Officer II, Gender

We seek qualified candidates for the position of Technical Officer II, Gender.

Position Description:

  • Facilitate and train relevant stakeholders on gender appropriate programming;
  • Conducting a gender assessment
  • Work with local implementers on GBV and Women and Children right’s awareness campaigns;
  • Form and develop a Gender Forum to help guide interventions and address the most critical socio-economic problems experience by women;
  • Work with relevant stakeholders on addressing relevant policies and laws, including legal protection measures.
  • Creating and implementing a strategic communications strategy for gender mainstreaming
  • Experience in shaping legal protection measures for women (including widows) and children, conducting gender assessment fostering relationships with multi-stakeholder groups;
  • Experience creating and implementing a strategic communications strategy for gender mainstreaming.

  • Minimum Requirements:
  • 8 years of relevant experience required. Bachelor degree in relevant field required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience in gender as it relates to economic strengthening, vulnerability of PLWHIV and GBV.
    Familiarity with conducting a gender assessment.
  • Experience shaping legal protection measures for women (including widows and children)
  • Experience conducting gender assessments;
  • Strong critical analysis and report writing skills preferred;
  • Previous experience working with INGO, preferably in Swaziland;
  • High integrity and strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadline;
  • Strong oral and written communications skills;
  • English Language Proficiency required, Swazi preferred.
