UNICEF is the leading children’s organisation, reaching children in more than 150 less-developed countries around the world. We work with local communities, organisations and governments to make a lasting difference to children’s lives.

The Public Affairs team’s role is to influence UK Government policy and practice on child rights both in the UK and internationally, through presenting compelling evidence for change, lobbying and public campaigning. This role, leading the international sub-team, is responsible for driving forward change for children in international development issues within Westminster and Whitehall.

Having already proved your influencing skills and management ability in a similarly politically focussed role, you will have good knowledge of DFID and FCO. You are skilled at sustaining relationships with decision-makers and devising successful strategies for political change. You have experience of international development and human rights based approaches. You understand the importance of working closely with communication colleagues, monitoring and managing risk, as well as co-ordinating with other parts of a global organisation.
