International Employment Related Tax Consultant

Based in London

£40,000 per annum

The role will implement and contribute to the international employment related tax strategy of the British Council with respect to all categories of staff, covering the UK and its country operations globally. It will sit within the Employee Relations and Reward Centre of Expertise and will provide expert knowledge on global, international and UK employment related tax issues, working with key internal stakeholders and external / internal tax advisory services.

You will have:

- A thorough knowledge of expatriate assignment principles, packages and administration

- An understanding of UK HMRC income tax and NIC regulations as applied to international assignees

- Some familiarity with overseas employment tax and social security systems

- Previous experience of ERT compliance or consulting work for internationally mobile employees

- It is desirable that you are ATT and / or CTA qualified.
