What will I do as an Installation Engineer?

Reporting into the Project Manager on site you will safely implement capital projects in all areas of the manufacturing site, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, time and cost.

As an Installation Engineer what skills and qualifications will I need

  • Ideally, you will have a degree in an engineering discipline or be a time served engineer
  • Project Engineering experience preferably within a Brewing, Process or a Packaging environment
  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships with a wide range of senior people, both internally and externally

As an Installation Engineer what kind of responsibilities will I have?

  • Day to day management of the project installation phase
  • Manage the onsite contractors on a daily basis, ensuring compliance with the site rules and compliance with the agreed Risk assessments and Method Statements (RAMs), ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times
  • Manage the project principles and expectations as described in the project scope and definition
  • The management of onsite multi – disciplinary installation teams
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with the CDM regulations
  • Liaison with local operational teams to ensure full awareness of ongoing works
  • Monitor installation programme and ensure adherence to plan, taking all necessary steps to avoid project slippage when required
  • Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Pre Delivery Inspections (PDIs), and agree sign off of plant with the Site Project Manager (as required), prior to site delivery
  • Arrange Site Acceptance Tests (SATs), and ensure these comply with contractual and User Requirement Specifications (URS) / Functional Design Specifications (FDS) requirements
  • Carry out regular H&S audits and ensure contractor’s Health and Safety file is maintained in accordance with CDM regulations
  • Ensure Safety & Operability assessments are carried out where applicable throughout the project lifecycle
  • Liaison with insurance inspectors, and ensure plant modifications that take place comply with statutory requirements
