Reporting
Purpose of the role
  • Define and provide commercially competitive solutions, matching customer requirements and expectations.
  • Leverage common solutions and services aligned with the customer's strategy, needs and business-case.
  • Define and dimension e2e customer solutions (including 3PP).
  • Secure alignment with customer priorities.
  • Support customer value creation and secure fully optimized scope, incl. 3PP (BBTS)
  • Share experience, best practices, analysis of customer situation, design and delivery of customer solutions, and in technical problem solving.
  • Lead practice team as well as take CSR role in selected engagements; secure end-to-end engagement quality
  • Drive pro-active dialogue with the Accounts in the Customer Unit, practice-centric with deep business knowledge in the practice area.
  • Capture Sales Opportunities driving pro-active dialogue with the customer executives in collaboration through/with KAM to grow the practice business and deepen customer relationships
  • Engage with the customer pre-SDP1 to bring thought leadership and identify/shape opportunities
  • Work cross practice offerings incl. deals and business model innovation
  • Escalate Solutions Product Related problems to the Product Areas in the Business Units.
  • Secure the Business Units Support in the Key deals.
  • Handle escalations related to Market Adaptation Development to raise the requests priority according to the technical and commercial impact in the Customer Business.
Line Management Responsibilities
Coaching
The Head of Solution Development is responsible for coaching and developing the employees under his/her charge.
Recruitment
The Head of Solution Development is co-responsible for recruitment with the Head of Practice, based on agreements in the Engagement Practice leadership team and legal organization's relevant manager approval.
Job planning
  • Responsible for planning of activities in alignment with the practice Engagement Consultants within the Engagement Development area.
  • Responsible for gathering sufficient information about the requirements to successfully deliver the requests.
  • Work with Resource Allocation Manager and Heads of Competence Domain to ensure the allocation of services and people.
  • Elaborate/contribute to region Practice Strategy.
  • Contribute in the creation of the Regional Practice Growth Plan and take full accountability in its execution and follow up of relevant parts.
Competence planning
  • Guarantee the Solution Development team short and long term competence planning as well individual competence planning.
  • Knowledge sharing - initiate and participate in knowledge sharing activities, as well as coaching and mentoring activities
IPM
Conduct IPM with the employees.
HRMS
The Head of Solution Development is responsible for keeping the employee information up to date in HRMS.
Dialog
  • Ensure that all employees answer the Dialog Survey
  • Create and Implement together the Solution Development team the Dialog Improvement plan according to the area results.
Reporting
  • Regular report on job activities: general progress, specific technical/commercial issues and trends, IPM progress, Dialog progress and staff issues.
  • Ensure the Solution Development team time reporting for productive and non-productive activities in SAP.
  • Approve time Report in SAP.
Target setting
  • Develop and agree on the different performance indicators to guarantee the expected performance.
  • Drive Performance Management in Solution Development team.

Qualifications

Formal Education
Electronics / Electrical / Systems / Telecommunications Engineering, university degree.
Experience
5+ years with relevant experience on similar position.
