A new strategy. A new management structure. Transformed fundraising team. Ambitious plans to increase our funds over the next 5 years. We have all these. Now, we need a brilliant new Head of Programme & Emergency Funding to add power to our battle against poverty.
Reporting to the Director of Fundraising you will lead a team of specialists responsible for building and managing funding relationships with major institutional donors in the UK. Your priority will be DFID, but you will also be responsible for our relationships with the DEC, Comic Relief and Big Lottery. You will focus on increasing income by developing and delivering a Strategy that promotes our programming approach as well as by building effective relationships with donors that integrate activities and maximises opportunities.
With an extensive background in the Development Sector and a track record of raising funds from DFID and major strategic foundations you will be experienced at building effective high level partnerships. Experienced at winning solicited and unsolicited funding applications you will have worked in development programmes in developing countries – ideally with some experience in emergency response. Of graduate calibre you will have strong communication and influencing skills and be a capable people manager with the ability to get the most out of others.
