Job Purpose The Coordinator Ground Support Equipment ensures that all Etihad Property Ground Support Equipment is serviceable and continuously maintained in an airline maintenance standard appropriate manner and that all maintenance and safety requirements are fulfilled and coordinated in accordance with Etihad Airways Quality Assurance and Aviation Authorities regulations as applicable. Responsibilities You will be responsible to: Maintains and develops an effective and accurate GSE maintenance schedule Ensures that the operational requirements for GSE are fulfilled and frequent maintenance and defect rectifications are carried out in compliance with the company policy and procedures to ensure the continuous readiness and serviceability of the GSE for a safe use in the Etihad technical operation Promotes safety awareness Ensures that any corrective action resulting from damage, incident or accident, or any audit and safety inspection finding is handled in a timely manner and is effective in preventing re-occurrence of deficiencies. Reviews working practices to ensure that a safe utilization of the GSE is maintained and related improvements are initiated as applicable Gives a good example for discipline and accuracy in his duties and motivates staff and GSE users to follow these accordingly and encourage a high safety awareness culture Ensures that the GSE is kept clean and in good appearance and serviceable at the highest standards. Ensures updates and amendments in the GSE maintenance schedule and Etihad property inventory listing to have all time an appropriate and up to date documentation. Takes care of the timely follow up on maintenance intervals and necessary rectifications Requirements Technical Qualification ( Engineer ) with good knowledge of GSE equipment and its related requirements to support the Etihad technical operation. In addition to above; you are required to have the following: Minimum of 5 years aviation industry experience, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience within the area of Material Management. Formal training in Etihad specific GSE management is required ( Training on the job ). Knowledge of GSE specific functions and use Good knowledge of GSE Maintenance and Planning activities Good standard of English language Good Safety awareness knowledge of an airline maintenance environment Good standard of computer literacy (Microsoft Office applications)
