FRESH Consortium Coordinator
Salary £ 24,245 - £ 30,853 per annum net
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead and coordinate Oxfam Bangladesh's FRESH (Flood Resistant Shelter for South-West Bangladesh) Consortium project through an agreed strategy, grant management, monitoring/ evaluation/accountability/ learning and ensuring cross learning with DFID partners.

Dimensions

Overall responsibility for delivering a 1-year, GBP 10m Shelter and advocacy program

Managing of FRESH consortium staff and maintain matrix relationship with consortium members field staff, focal pointers

Diverse and complex problem-solving with professional knowledge, understanding of development and humanitarian work.,

Work patterns are not routine and often high pressure.

Makes complex technical information accessible and usable by non-specialist


Key Responsibilities

· Manage FRESH project from beginning to end by ensuring of project's scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with consortium members and stakeholders.

· Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear guidance by producing of associated communications documents and liaise with stakeholders on an ongoing basis.

· Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and produce draft budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.

· Plan and schedule project timelines by maintaining track of project's milestones, deliverables and manage project dependencies and critical path to adjust project course where necessary to achieve the required results.

· Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

· Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crisis, and devise contingency plans.

· Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractorsand influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

· Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project

· Ensure that the target beneficiaries receive high quality of services effectively in accordance to the available resources.

· Undertake regular visits to project implementation area, as and when required, and in the event of an operational emergency, to take direct responsibility for management of any particular unit/sector

· Organise a laughing workshop for all NARRI consortium partners, ensuring uniformity in understanding of the programme logframe, monitoring, funding and reporting guidelines.

· Responsible for collecting, reporting and communication to the donor on behalf of the Consortium.

· Responsible for programmatic and financial monitoring of progress across the consortium.

· To work with the consortium partners to strengthen partner capacity ensuring linking and learning between national partners. Liaise with other NGOs, relevant government agencies
· Conduct internal impact evaluations of the project and organise with other DFID partners an end of programme external evaluation

Skills and Competence


· Education - University degree in relevant Social Sciences

· In depth complex management roles - that gives us some flexibility but highlights the need for management skills

· Strong coordination and communication ability

· Strong analytical and conceptual skills.

· Strong commitment to accountability, social justice, promoting gender awareness and equality.

· Good communicator in English- both written and oral as well as a good listener. Bangla is an advantage.

· Strong project cycle skills: assessments, design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and strategic planning skills.

· Good verbal and writing skills in English

· Financial and numerical skills.

· Proven computer competence.

· Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse organization.

· Ability and willingness to travel away from home and stay in the field

· Proven record of successfully managing complex relations, including matrix management of several posts that do not directly report to the candidate.

· Experience in working with EC or DFID funded projects. Experience of working in Bangladesh or South Asian Countries.
