Flow Assurange engineer Netherlands

Responsibilities:
The position is for an experienced flow assurance engineer with a track record in Multiphase Flow. The position in Shell’s Project and Technology Organization is in the Amsterdam Flow Assurance Team,that delivers services to the Europe/Middle East/Africa region. The Flow Assurance team possesses experimental facilities for both technical services and R&D.
In addition to delivering technical services the incumbent will also participate in an R&D and Technology Deployment programme that is aimed at improved flow modeling,liquid management systems,and other flow-related innovations.

The Flow Assurance team in Amsterdam has the focus areas: Hydrates,Multiphase Flow,Wax,Asphaltenes,Scale,Emulsions and Foam and there is strong collaboration between staff working in these focus areas,such that we effectively work as one Flow Assurance skill.
The team works on a variety of projects,such as (currently) Majnoon,Pearl,Qatargas3&4,Kashagan,various North Sea assets and projects.
You will be responsible for maintaining contacts with our partners in these projects,negotiating projects budgets and resources and delivery of results (in report and/or presentations,if needed at customer location). Depending on experience,these responsibilities can be extended.

Requirements:
You have experience in multiphase flow in the oil and gas industry. This means that you are familiar with simulation tools like PIPESIM, OLGA, and Unisim Design. In addition to that you preferably also have experience with multiphase flow lab experiments and platform installations.
You have a Master Degree and possibly also a PhD Degree.
Drive for deeper understanding of the flow phenomena we are dealing with is a requirement.
Your team working and communication skills will be first class, and you’ll have the ability to work independently.
You should be fluent in English with good communication and reporting skills. Dutch language skills are useful, but not a pre-requisite.
