The role: Employee Relations and Investigations HRBP

As an Employee Relations and Investigations HRBP working on the Employee Relations and Investigations team, you provide expert advice in preventing and resolving workplace issues. You will work with our U.S. and EMEA locations consulting on employee relations issues and investigations, reorganizations and performance management and coaching HRBPs and managers in policies, practices and awareness of workplace issues. We work closely with our legal, compliance, security and human resources departments interpreting policies and procedures and advising on fair and equitable employment practices. You will play a critical role in complex ER investigations and providing training to managers related to performance management.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HR Business Partners to ensure that the investigation/complaint process is handled in a fair, timely manner consistent with local requirements
  • Using knowledge of applicable employment laws, advise on appropriate protocol for investigations and prepare appropriate investigation documentation and recommendations for management
  • Provide project management coordination and guidance for HR Business Partners and managers on reorganizations
  • Prepare internal training materials and templates for HR Business Partners regarding appropriate handling of investigations, reorganizations, performance management and other employee relations issues
  • Act as primary point of contact for Employee Relations Team for EMEA based investigations, reorganizations and other employee relations issues (30% travel)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree. In lieu of degree, 12 years of work experience
  • 8 years of experience as an Employee Relations Manager or an Employment Attorney

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Strong understanding of employment law principles in the U.S. and EMEA employment law experience
  • Solid experience handling tough investigations
  • Ability to listen, but also to persuasively convey opinions and recommendations
  • Keen understanding and sensitivity to confidentiality
