Director Drama and Dance Based London

Salary: £47,000 per annum plus London Market Allowance of £3,300 per annum.

The Drama and Dance Department of the British Council works with drama and dance professionals to promote international collaboration and professional exchange. We work with our overseas network of arts managers and partners to plan and deliver high-impact arts programmes which promote new images of the UK, establish long-term partnerships and attract younger audiences.

We are looking for an arts professional with a real understanding of the drama and dance sectors in the UK, and a passion for connecting people and organisations.

With an ability to think both strategically and tactically, you’ll be someone whose opinion and help is sought in the sectors, with easy access to decision makers in organisations both large and small.
You’ll also be comfortable with designing and delivering large projects yourself and through others.
