Post to start: 5th March 2012

The Sundarbans Tiger Project, a leading conservation project of the Zoological Society of London, is looking to recruit an experienced trust/statutory/institutional fundraiser to join their strategic partnerships team. The candidate will forge partnerships with organizations operational in-country such as the UNDP and EU, manage existing trust relationships including report writing and donor liaison, and develop new opportunities with trusts around the world that have a remit to fund projects such as this.

As a new post, a key component of this role is to also implement the infrastructure and resources required to set up and make this income stream sustainable. This includes the development of a donor management system, recruitment and capacity building of a local person/team, and the implementation of other administrative and financial systems.

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 2 years experience of developing and managing an income stream through trust/statutory/institutional sources.
• Exceptional attention to detail and written English skills.
• A good understanding of the links between environment and development, and experience of working with international donors.
• The motivation to work for a tiger conservation project.
• The drive and attitude to live and work in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh.

In return, the project offers experience in a world leading conservation initiative protecting one of the largest population of tigers on the planet. The performance and development program is excellent and will provide the right candidate with an exceptional career opportunity within a fascinating context.
