The Faculty of Public Health and Policy is looking for a Computing Officer to join a small team providing first-line computing support to the staff and students in the Faculty of Public Health and Policy.

Applicants should have excellent communication skills, considerable experience of first-line computing support in a network environment and proven ability in troubleshooting PC hardware/software faults. Experience of user management, proven ability to work with minimal supervision and show initiative and a thorough knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7 and MS Office suite are also essential. Candidates should also have some experience of working in a multi-cultural academic environment. A knowledge of Novell Netware administration (using iManager and Console One) and Novell Groupwise would be an advantage.

Salary will be in the range £30,915 - £35,511 per annum, inclusive. Excellent conditions including 30 days holiday plus an additional 6 fixed "Director's Days", pension scheme, interest free season ticket loan, and social facilities are offered. This position is subject to a probationary period of six months. Hours of work will be thirty five per week.
