Chinese Construction Engineers ABU Consult Berlin GmbH

ABU Consult Berlin GmbH, a German consultancy firm, is looking for Chinese experts for an Asian Development Bank funded project.
The Project is envisaged to start in March 2012 and to have a duration of 9 months.

Tasks:
The construction engineers will be experienced in the design and construction of TVET facilities. Under the team leader's guidance, the construction engineers will undertake a technical review of the design and feasibility analyses prepared for the TVET institutions to ensure that the facilities are properly designed and fully meet technical standards including national safety and environmental requirements.
Using the review and taking into account the national best practice, the experts should give recommendations for further strengthening design and implementation arrangements. Recommendations should include optimizing institutional designs in terms of financial, economic, energy saving, and operation and maintenance aspects. The engineers will work with the sustainable campus management expert to support greening of the TVET campuses by developing green standards for the design and construction of TVET buildings to reduce energy and water use, while promoting more sustainable use of materials, as well as green building maintenance practices, including recycling, composting, etc.
The construction engineers will assist the sustainable campus management expert to develop guidelines for TVET institutions for sustainable campus activities. The experts will review proposed contract packaging arrangement for the component, help prepare a procurement plan, and provide guidance on preparing procurement documents for this component.
