Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) is looking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to run the country's private pension administrator.

The private pension administrator will be responsible for ensuring the establishment and operationalisation of an efficient administrative system for the overall private pension industry in Malaysia. It will act as a central repository of all transactions made by contributors to private pension schemes in the country. As a resource and data centre for the private pension industry, it will also play a key role in providing analyses and opinions on issues affecting the industry and retirement planning.

With at least 10 years of senior management experience in pension or fund administration, or in custodian, trustee or compliance business and operations, the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for putting in place the organisation's management team, establishing its operations and setting its strategic direction.

Under your leadership, the organisation will build confidence in the private pension industry by giving contributors a convenient and reliable way to manage their pension schemes. You will contribute to the development of Malaysia's private pension industry, drawing upon your experience as well as that of senior contacts in the global industry.

Reporting to the Board and the SC, you will represent the organisation to senior officials in the government, members of industry and the public. Therefore, you will demonstrate both strong communication skills as well as high analytical ability.
