Chief Director - (e-Learning)

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree qualification in management/administration. Extensive experience in

and knowledge of senior management. Proven management skills in education management or

equivalent. Extensive experience in school and institutional management. Advance analytical skills

and extensive knowledge of the prescripts of the Public Service, Education Policies and strategies.

Change Management. Good understanding of the curriculum (policies and implementation)

educational management, governance and service delivery. Effective communication, negotiation

and influencing skills. High level financial management, people management, client orientation,

planning and implementation, strategic capabilities and leadership. Basic computer literacy.

DUTIES:

Manage and facilitate the effective provisioning of e-Learning support services. Ensure

the implementation of e-Learning strategies of the GDE, Facilitate the building of e-Learning

capacity within institutions. Ensure that GoL infrastructure is maintained in the context of

e-Learning. Manage the rendering of nutritional and scholar transport services. Ensure that the

school nutrition programme is in line with the national feeding scheme Ensure the nutritional value

of food provided by the programme. Ensure that effective systems for budget management are

in place. Facilitate and report on programme delivery. Manage the rendering of library and LTSM

support services to districts. Ensure the management and accessibility of Library Services is

effective. Ensure that school libraries and resources are developed. Monitor guide and support

implementation of LTSM policy. Manage and co-ordinate the development of youth, culture and

sport development programmes. Ensure that effective policy is implemented for youth, culture and

sport development programmes. Facilitate the implementation of plans for citizenship educational

and awareness programs. Manage all resources of the Branch as expected in the relevant Public

Service Acts and policies. Supervise and manage sub-ordinates and other participants in the

Branch activities. Responsible for the financial management of the component’s activities. Plan,

organise and control activities pertaining to functions of the component. Disseminate information

to all stakeholders (team, managers, etc.) and report activities. Adhere to and promote statutory

prescripts and the Code of Conduct for the Public Service. Ensure compliance with National

policy frameworks Compliance with National policy frameworks and standards. Report to and

participate in all appropriate national, provincial, departmental and other structures and processes.
